February

It's getting into February and I am only 1/3 of the way into my first classic. I'm not beating myself up about it, though, as the book--Atlas Shrugged--is 1,069 pages total.

Atlas Shrugged is by a woman named Ayn Rand, who was born in Russia in 1905 and thus grew up during World War I and the pursuing Russian Revolutions. She rejected Communist ideology as early as twelve, and idealized American democracy and Western culture in general thereafter.
